The FRS is committed to supporting those people who show great talent and promise. That's why we are piloting a Fast Track Scheme to help outstanding people reach their full potential.
Successful applicants to the pilot scheme will benefit from a personalised structured training programme that includes:
- Training modules
- Leadership and management skills courses
- Work placements across the FRS
- Career development guidance
- Coaching by senior FRS management.
It's open to both existing operational staff and a small number of trainee Firefighters. Its aim? To provide an intensive development programme that helps candidates reach Station Manager level within about four years.
